Unable to download .tar.gz using 'Download' button

I've installed stable 4.1 as per the instructions on 2 separate Deb Squeeze servers.

Everything is working well except for the download button.

I've gone through and updated the permissions on /home/gitlab/gitlab/tmp/repositories but this doesn't help.

It seems as though gitlab creates the .tar.gz in tmp/repositories/[user] but the dir doesn't exist.

If I create the user dir in tmp/repositories then the download works however by default the dir isn't created and the application doesn't seem to try and create it.
