Can't view JSON files in project with File viewer

525a8cd3 appears to have something to do with getting graph data in JSON. The path extract library, however, also appears to be used to get the path for File views. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, there is no explicit determination made for exactly which view someone is on, so the json extension gets stripped from paths when trying to view json in tree/blob view. There's another line related to atom which I presume would do similar.

I have commented out this line in my own project as a temporary fix. If I were more familiar with Ruby or Rails, I'd fix it myself and commit a patch, but I'm afraid that could do more harm than good. But this seems like a pretty important bug to fix.

To replicate... add a .json file to a repo, attempt to view in tree/blob File view and admire the 404 page.
